A Christmas Wedding!

Ginny, a good friend of close to 9 years told me about 2 weeks before xmas she was getting married! I was very happy to hear that she was getting married and that I didnt already have a wedding that day!

It was a small intimate ceremony in the couples home. Short and sweet.
Afterward there was a buffet dinner (the bride did all by herself). How crazy is that!? Shortly after the dinner we headed out to get some snowy pictures. It was cold but not unbearable. We headed to some long steps up the road and were able to get many nice shots there. After that we headed to a canal. On the way back to the house I noticed a large brick building that we used for some neat pictures as well. It was a very memorable day for Ginny and Chris, and I hope they enjoy their pictures! Below are a couple of my favs from this xmas wedding!

Philadelphia Shoot

For Thanksgiving I was headed back to the philadelphia are and decided to set up a shoot at the eastern state penitentary. I was going to shoot with Kelly in a previous shoot, but she couldnt make it due to dance. So I decided to contact her for this shoot and she was available! So I decided to ask her friend Lindsy whom I had shot with in Brigantine NJ earlier this year. Anyway it proved pretty hard to get any shots there, considering there is a "fine line" between shots and "model" shots. Which I dont really get but regardless we had fun and got some neat shots. Below are a couple from the cold day.

Engagement Shoot Tomorrow in Canton

Right now there is atleast 6-7 inches of snow on the ground. I have an engagement shoot tomm on a mountain right outside of Canton. I am excited to get some cool snow shots. I just hope it is not too cold to be comfortable. If the couple is too cold it will show in the pics! Anyway I will post a couple tomorrow evening so you can get a feel for how the shoot went :)

Favorite Engagement Photos

These are just some of my favorite engagement shots. Each couple is totally different that I work with. I enjoy doing these shoots a lot, because it helps me get to know the couple and how they interact with eachother before the wedding. It also gives them a chance to know how I shoot and a little more about my personality.

Michael and Courtney Wedding

I did an engagement shoot for Michael and Courtney less than 2 weeks before their wedding. The wedding was November 8th 2008 in Danville Pa. I really enjoyed meeting them at their engagement shoot and got to know them a bit. They are very adventurous and have done a fair bit of traveling. The engagement shots came out very good, because they are so in love and it showed! Needless to say it made my job easier. I barely had to pose them.

I arrived with my assistant at the church in Danville around 12pm. The church was pretty large and had awesome high ceilings. One of the stipulations was I no flashes and no photography from the audience. So I had to head up to the balcony and shoot from there with no flash. I switched between my 55-200vr, fish eye and 50mm 1.8 for the majority of the shots.

After the ceremony we had a ton of family/portrait shots to do. Everyone cooperated well, considering they were hungry and ready to party.

The couple and I headed outside and got some great shots of the autumn foilage. The reception was held at the elks club. The night ended with Michael and Courtney heading off to their honeymoon! The guests all held sparklers as the made their way to their vehicle, which had a big banner on the back "just married"

October 4th Wedding

Mike and Amanda got married at an adorable church in the Pittsburgh area. I arrived at the church where I grabbed some shots of the outside and inside of the church.
Shortly after Amanada arrived in a limo. She was a little nervous and it was so cute! We waited in the lower area of the church where I got some shots of her and her 2 bridesmaids.

The reception had 2 bands and a DJ, so needless to say there was no lack of entertainment for the guests!

Sept 21st Wedding

Septemeber 21st Gillian and Erik got married at The Stroudsmoor, located in East Stroudsburg Pa. It was a great location and beautiful day. It was small intimate wedding held at the grotto location. Because of the amount of guests, we were able to get EVERYONE in a group picture which was a great idea. Gillian ordered wallets of the group shot to send in thank you cards. Good idea!

Gillian looked great and I loved her dress!
The bridesmaids were in navy blue and everything complimented eachother wonderfully! They had a small reception and cocktail hour.
